Life in Small Town America 1900's





Ms. Kiser's class of 18 students visited the History Center March 2 to learn about the 1900 era.  After reading "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder, in their Themes and Literature class,  they had been tasked by their teacher to research life in small town America.  While at the History Center they watched the Bridgeport Fire movie, and toured the telephone exhibit.  This class is an elective at Lawrenceville High School.

April 28, 1910  Saturday the thermometer reached the freezing point and a snow storm of unusual severity struck the county.  Grapes, cherries and other fruits were  killed, along with early garden vegetables...
