This may be of interest to some of our readers.......

March 10th Program Central Wabash Archaeology Chapter

The Central Wabash Archaeology Chapter will host a program presented by
Brad Koldehoff, Chief Archaeologist of Culture Resources for the Illinois Department of Transportation.  The presentation will be Thursday, March 10th at 6:00 P.M. at the Crawford County Historical Museum.  The Museum’s location is  408 S. Cross St., Robinson, IL.

Koldehoff’s   subject will be Resources or Rituals:  Paleo Stone Tool Caches. Caches or stock piles of tools and preforms were made by of the Paleo Indians.  One of these caches was a large quantity of grooved axes.  Were these axes tools or ritual in nature?  Why would the Paleo Indians spend thousands of hours to manufacture tools and then place them in caches?

The general public is invited to attend this program. There is no admission charge for this program.  Refreshments will be served.

At the Museum this week 75 LTHS yearbooks arrived and we have had fun looking through them. They are being placed in our school collection; We thought you might enjoy seeing some of the photos.
