May 17, 1972 Daily Record How's this for white perch? John Cogswell ( left) of Claremont and Larry Ameter of Lawrenceville display the white perch they caught last weekend in the Tennessee River just below the Kentucky Lake dam. The perch Ameter is holding weighs in at 18 pound, 4 ounces while Cogswell is holding one that weighs 15 pounds 2 ounces. That's pretty good for white perch because a 10 pounder would be considered good in the Wabash River. They also caught 72 head of blue cat fish during their fishing expedition.
