Hey! George Field Historians…..The Gliders are Back! Well not the WWII ones that used to be out at the Air Field, but beautiful vintage ones that allow their pilots to soar like eagles. The Wabash Valley Soaring Association has been inviting flyers from all over the country every Father’s Day weekend for the last forty years to come to the Mid America Air Center and soar high above our cornfields. Stop by this weekend and talk to them and see their planes. Their hanger is north of the terminal.
Don't forget to stop by the Essential Hallmark store on the square this afternoon or tomorrow to see all the entries in the first Lawrence County Historical Society's Photo contest.
