Chuck Holtz brought in an old hand drawn map of the Oil Belt Railroad a few months ago to the Bridgeport Genealogy Library. It is not to drawn to scale but it is full on insights. No one seems to know who drew it but it was found in the Bob Holtz house. (The train whistle is marked as sounding like WEEOU because they did......) John Hamilton wrote an excellent article in the Sumner Press about this map, and while we were marveling over this particular map, the actual survey for the railroad dated 1913 turned up. AND when we called John H to come see this survey map, he showed up with this little railroad HO car.
